There is an array of attractions within close proximity including The Border Flywheelers Museum, Historic Sawmill, still in operation, with guided tours detailing the history of paddle steamers built at the mill, displays of beautifully crafted Red Gum furniture, WWII Catalina Flying Boat Museum, Historical society and Museum, local citrus farms including Packing Shed and Juice Factory tours.

Go for a cruise on the Wetlander and enjoy the scenic landscape of the Gunbower Wetlands, on the Gunbower Creek along the southern border of Gunbower Island.

Gunbower Island provides access to our Red Gum Forests for bbq’s or walks.

Also within a short walking distance is The Red Gum Statue Walk, which is a relaxing Murray River walk where you can view chainsaw carvings of notable local identities.
